Pack Open Houses – a GREAT way to Recruit!

The State Fair is done which means school has start for most kids today in Minnesota. School Open Houses are where our top recruiting units are seeing the most foot traffic in promoting our Cub Scout packs!What we have found successfully working in the units that are being successful in recruiting is having a bright visible display, leaders and cub scouts present to talk to families and information on the packs program. It is key to have information to hand out on when the first meetings are, information about the pack itself, a pack calendar, when does the unit camp, do they have STEM opportunities –  we are seeing this is becoming a big reason why families join. Do units have props at the table such as pinewood derby cars, rockets, raingutter regatta boats and so on.
