Updated (3/16/21) COVID Guidelines for Packs, Troops, and Crews from Northern Star Scouting
03/16/21 Based on the Governor’s announcement last week, Northern Star Scouting has updated the unit COVID Guidelines with the following:
- Volunteer led unit meetings/gatherings/campouts – Units must continue to follow COVID safety guidelines found in the ‘Unit COVID Safety Guidebook”. We have combined group size limits from private social gatherings and youth sports guidelines to increase sizes for groups to 25 people indoors and 50 people outdoors (Mask wearing and social distancing still apply).
- Outside Events and Entertainment – A Scouting unit can attend paid/purchased events or programs and vendor must follow Minnesota State Industry COVID guidelines applicable at said facility regarding masking, social distancing and group size.
Masks must still be worn for all indoor gatherings and any outdoor activity where 6 feet of distance cannot be maintained. Increased hygiene during meeetings/events (hand washing/sanitizer, cleaning all surfaces before during and after meeting events) still apply.
