NEW this Year! A fellowship camping weekend in conjunction with the Wood Badge Breakfast!
The Wood Badge Breakfast will be held at Stearns Scout camp on Saturday August 7th as part of a full weekend of Scouting fun! This is not only a chance for a “Wood Badge” reunion for your Troop or Patrol, but it is also a way to connect with other adult leaders, trainers and staffers from multiple courses. This will be our first ever unofficial training celebration that includes a camping option and will be a great time to relax for a weekend with other adult Scouters. Scouters can just come for the breakfast, stay for the day, or even camp overnight with friends from previous courses or Scouters from their units or districts. In addition to the Wood Badge Breakfast and silent and live auctions, other great activities are being planned for the weekend including: shooting sports, boating, camp service project, yard games, Dutch oven cooking, Trainer’s EDGE, patch trading, patrol competitions, and even a campfire program (which I suspect may have quite a few cow costumes in it, and may also include some special visitors), with a Crackerbarrel to complete the evening.
This will be a great weekend for fun & fellowship and we hope that you’ll be able to join us at beautiful Camp Stearns! Please reach out to other Scouters who may want to attend so you can start planning a fun weekend. It is not required that participants for the weekend have taken Wood Badge, but we do ask that all participants are registered adult leaders who have completed Youth Protection training.
