Date Change Fall Camporee 2018 - Please Respond
Unfortunately, there is not a lot I can do to cause the ranch to honor their earlier commitment. The River Valley Ranch owner is excited to have us come out and he will do all he can to make our camporee a great event for us, provided that we attend the last weekend in September.

If I pushed for the October 12-14 date, we potentially could lose the option of sleeping overnight on the ranch property. We would potentially have to share the horses with 250 other riders who are not attending with the district. This would severely impact the amount of riding and fun our youth would have at the camporee. As such, I was reluctant during the conversation to push back with the owner.

Given the potential impact, the District Key 5 would like your input as host units before making a decision. Please send me your comments and let me know if you have any issues with moving the camporee date to September 28-30, 2018, no later than this Friday, July 13th.
