Youth Protection Training At March Roundtable – March 1, 2018 7:00PM – Postponed to Fall 2018

UPDATE

Good afternoon!

Thank you for signing up for our Youth Protection Training at the March Roundtable!  Thank you for being watchful and proactive!

Unfortunately, we recently learned that we are not able to hold this training in March like we had hoped.  The in-person training and discussion will not be ready in time and we will have to postpone our training until the National Council has released the new training materials.  We are currently planning to hold an in-person training in the early fall, when the new training materials will be available.

For the time being, I encourage you to take the online version of Youth Protection Training at My.Scouting.org under “My Training” in your dashboard.  This will bring you to the online training center and allow you to take the new Youth Protection Training course, which will take about ninety (90) minutes to complete.

I am sorry for this inconvenience; I was looking forward to having you in class with me and holding a discussion on the new training and resources.

Yours in Scouting,

Anthony Schuft

____________________________________________________________________

National BSA has launched the new version of Youth Protection Training. The NEW Youth Protection Training course is a single course that is used for all leaders of Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Venturers and is now is FAMILY INCLUSIVE.

ALL leaders will need to take this course by Oct 31, 2018, even if you recently completed Youth protection Training.

Required Training

  • Youth Protection training is required for all BSA registered volunteers.
  • Youth Protection training must be taken every two years. If a volunteer’s Youth Protection training record is not current at the time of recharter, the volunteer will not be reregistered.

Please join us before at roundtable to participate in Youth Protection Training!

The training is designed to help you keep our youth safe from abuse. You will learn the Boy Scouts of America’s Youth Protection Guidelines, signs of abuse, and how to report suspected abuse.

This course will satisfy the Youth Protection Training requirement for your position.

Please be at roundtable  at 7:00PM. The class will end at approximately at 8:30PM.

If  you have any questions about this class, please contact me.

Thank you.
