WORLD SCOUT JAMBOREE – REGISTER NOW – TIME IS RUNNING OUT!
Only a few spots remain for Scouts to participate in the upcoming World Jamboree!
World Jamborees are held every four years, and this year, the United States, Mexico and Canada are hosting! For Scouts aged 14-17 (born between July 22, 2001, and July 21, 2005) this will be the only chance to ever attend a World Jamboree as a participant. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate Scouting and experience high adventure & amazing entertainment with 45,000 other Scouts from 133 different nations.
This year’s World Jamboree will be held at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia from July 22 through August 2 and over 80% of the participants will be from outside the United States! It has been more than 50 years since a World Jamboree has been held in the United States. The next World Jamboree will be held in Korea in 2023.
During the twelve days of the Jamboree participants will discover other cultures, experience food from a variety of nations, and learn about Scouting in other parts of the world.
Northern Star Scouting is sending 2 Troops and 1 Crew to the Jamboree. Right now there are only a handful of spots still remaining. Boys may attend as a member of a Troop. But we also have spots for boys and girls ages 14-17 to attend as a member of our Venturing Crew. Please note, you do not need to currently be a Venturing Scout to attend with the Crew, girls who have recently registered in Scouts BSA are specifically invited to participate as well!
