Vigil Nomination Deadline – January 16th

Your window to nominate brotherhood members for the Vigil Honor is coming to a close, with all nomination forms due (Prior approval by your Chapter Leadership) in 11 days, on January 16th, at the Totanhan Nakaha Lodge Executive Committee Meeting.  Attached to this email is the nomination form, which can be submitted here)

WAIT.  WHAT IS THE VIGIL HONOR?

The Vigil Honor is a high mark of distinction and recognition reserved for those Arrowman who, by reason of exceptional service, personal effort and unselfish interest, have made distinguished contributions beyond the immediate responsibilities of their positions or office to one or more of the following:  their Lodge, the Order of the Arrow, Scouting, or the Scout camp.  Under no circumstance should tenure in Scouting or the Order of the Arrow be considered as reason enough for a Vigil recommendation.  Those who are nominated and complete their vigil wear a new sash – a brotherhood sash with the arrow intercepting a triangle.

Nominees must be Brotherhood members for two years prior to February 1st of their nomination year, and must be currently registered and active member (2020 dues-paid) of Totanhan Nakaha Lodge and Northern Star Scouting.

The nomination forms are important, and should be given due thought and work before sending them in, so begin them sooner than later!
