Verification of Unit Commissioners for Lake Minnetonka District
One of the first things I needed to do after being appointed Interim District Commissioner was to determine who was still active as a Unit Commissioner (UC) and to which units they were assigned. With this information I was able to determine which units within the District are in need of a UC. I also needed to determine what, if any, units have dropped from the program.
With the first Guidepost of Journey to Excellence (JTE 2.0) due by April 30, 2017, the District needs to make sure that every unit is covered by a UC.
- PLEASE LOOK OVER THE ATTACHED EXCEL (2000) SPREADSHEET below to determine if your assigned units are correct. Reply back with a YES or NO and any corrections that are needed to the list, including a contact phone number. Keep in mind that the District lost Pack 422, Troop 538, Crew 327, Crew 477, and Team 192 in the past few years. The Excel Speadsheet was sent to you as an email attachment on March Attached Excel Spreadsheet (password scouts).
- Notice the open units at the bottom of the table and determine if you can cover any of these units either temporarily or on a regular basis. The associated cities are listed to the right on each line.
- The District needs additional Unit Commissioners to help lighten the load of all. Please consider recommending an individual that you feel would be a good addition to the Commissioner Corps.
