Unit Commissioners: We Need Your Support – Pinewood Derby Fest 2019 – Saturday, Mar 16, 2019
Unit Commissioners:
We have an opportunity to get Scouting out of the church basements and into the center of the community on Saturday, March 16, 2019. I need your help to make this happen.
I am asking you to call your key pack and troop leaders today and let them know that we need their support. We need each pack to send 18 racers to the PINEWOOD DERBY FEST at RIDGEDALE CENTER. It is a free event! If a top pack racer cannot attend, the pack should send a substitute racer. There will be additional open classed for Scouts BSA, Venturers, parents, siblings, and Cub Scouts. If we fail to get our scouts to the derby this year, we will not be asked back next year.
During the Pinewood Derby Finals, there will also be a Scout Fest going on throughout Ridgedale Center for the whole family! It will include various actives and crafts, displays, and giveaways. There will be archery booths, the climbing wall, music DJ’s, photo opportunities, craft tables, a STEM Lego area, a Join Scout Booth, High Adventure and Camping booths, and various booths hosted by the Ridgedale retailers. It is all FREE!
