SCUBA CREW 820 HOSTS ITS FIFTH ANNUAL UNDERWATER PUMPKIN CARVING – OCT 14, 2018

2018 Underwater Pumpkin Carving at Square Lake, at Golden Acres. Time 12:30 pm 15150 Square Lake Trail North, Stillwater, MN 55082 (Southeast side of Square Lake) No tricks! Diving’s a treat! As a warm-up for Halloween and fall, BSA Venture Scuba Crew 820 invites certified divers from around the Twin Cities to join us carving pumpkins at Square Lake near Stillwater, on an underwater dive training platform, 22 feet down.

“BRING YOUR OWN PUMPKINS”

If you need equipment, there is a $30 cost for the outing; includes 1 tank of air, wetsuit, hood, gloves, BC, regulator, carving tools, and FUN. (If we do not have a wet suit that fits you, you will need to go and rent one). Golden Acres vehicle and per-person fees are not included.)

The water temperatures should be in the 60 degree range, with the best water visibility of the season! The pumpkins will spilled their guts out on shore prior to the dive, and then add some Scout-rendered under water “vegetable surgery”. Last year it took a mere 32 minutes of underwater precision carving to turn ordinary garden gourds in to underwater masterpieces!

This event holds all the elements of a perennial Scout fall classic; adventure, convenience, timeliness, creative expression, and —-FUN! To register, call 952-949-0909 with your name, age, phone number, height, weight, and shoe size.

Sign-up cutoff date is Friday October 5th. www.northlandscuba.com
