Lake Minnetonka District Scouts Win The Day!
On Saturday, September 12, 2009, approximately 700 people showed up to watch the scouts of Lake Minnetonka District race their coaster cars to the finish line. Twenty-six drivers battled at break-neck speeds to determine which car was the fastest. The first place trophy was taken this year by A. Olson, Bear Scout, Den 1, Pack 477, driving the National Camera car in red and black. The third place trophy was taken by T. Henry, Bear Scout, Pack 391, driving the blue Pack 391 car.
The annual event sponsored by the Wayzata Chamber which is held during the James J. Hill Days celebration each September.
