Scouting for Food is no longer a single-day food collection event for Lake Minnetonka District. Instead units can do Scouting for Food whenever they like and submit the hours to Good Turn for America. This way the food shelves do not get overwhelmed one day out of the year. Scouts go door-to door collecting non-perishable food items for the less fortunate. The food is distributed to local food pantries across the district.
