JTE 2.0 Guideposts 2 and 3 – Due by August 31, 2017
Dear Unit Leaders,
All units should now be working on completing JTE 2.0 Guideposts 2 (Program and Funding Plan) and 3 (Communications Plan). These two guideposts must be successfully completed by August 31, 2017 in order to count towards JTE. That deadline gives each unit just under 3 months to complete the tasks and discuss the efforts with your Unit Commissioner.
Information on the guideposts and how to prepare for them can be found in the “2017-2018 Planning Calendar and Resource Guide” supplied by the Northern Star Council or can be found online at www.northernstarbsa.org/for-
I have included the guideposts below:
Guidepost 2: Plan and Fund Your Program
Develop a program and funding for your unit with your Unit Commissioner by Aug 31. (Troop and Crew plans should be youth-developed!)
Guidepost 3: Communicate Your Program
Develop a plan to communicate your program to families throughout the program year. Present to your Unit Commissioner by Aug 31. (Troop and Crew plans should be youth-developed!)
These guideposts are the same as in previous years and all units should be familiar in how to complete them.

Let’s start early and avoid a last minute rush in the last week of August.
