Journey to Excellence District Award - Gold - 2018

"Scouting's Journey to Excellence" is the BSA's council performance recognition program designed to encourage and reward success and measure the performance of our units, districts, and councils. It replaced the Centennial Quality Awards Program as a means of encouraging excellence in providing a quality program at all levels of the BSA."

"Excellent" work, Lake Minnetonka District!

Congratulations to all Lake Minnetonka units that achieved a JTE level status for 2018. Of the 64 units within the Lake Minnetonka District 22 (34%) achieved Platinum, 15 (23%) Gold, 9 (14%) Silver, and 1 (2%) Bronze. There were 17 units that did not achieve any of the levels. Of those 17 units, 6 would have succeeded in achieving a level if the charter had been turned in by the December 15th deadline.

Units may purchase their GOLD, SILVER , and BRONZE patches at the Scout Shop. Units earning the PLATINUM level may place an order for their patches through the Council Service Center. Platinum is a Northern Star Council ONLY level and is not carried by the Scout Shop.

Again, congratulations to all units for the effort you put into the JTE. By following the guidelines you are ensuring a quality program for your youth.

Information about the 2019 JTE will be released in the next month or two.

Notice:

Please remember that this is a unit self-improvement tool and is not to be used for other purposes such as unit-to-unit competition as we are trying to foster growth in all our units. We encourage units that did not qualify - or that qualified for lower levels - to contact those units that qualified for gold to find ways to improve their program so they can qualify for a higher level in 2019 as well.
