HOME Program of Senior Community Services

Hello!

In anticipation of autumn…

My name is Jeanne and I am the Volunteer Coordinator with the HOME Program of Senior Community Services, which is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. We are seeking individual and group volunteers to assist with fall yard clean-up for elders in our community. We will start mid-October, depending upon the weather, and rake until the snow stays. Meanwhile, we have lots of gardens to weed and windows to wash before raking begins.

Please let your staff, faculty, student, alumni, and parent groups know about this opportunity, which can be done during/after school or weekends. Youth age 7+ (first grade or older) can assist while an adult is present. We also have flyers available to post, brochures for distribution, provide a speaker about our organization, and set up an information table at events. Please contact me for more details. We may be able to locate other service learning/civic engagement opportunities for older students, too.

If this email should be sent to someone else, please let me know their email address and I’ll update our database. Your assistance is greatly appreciated!

Have a terrific 2017-18 school year,

Jeanne

PS  We are hiring (snow removal, workers age 16+) and hosting a Technology for Independent Living Conference, flyers are attached to distribute. Thanks! http://seniorcommunity.org/events/reimagine-aging-conference/
