Friends of Scouting – Check in on your progress!

Many of our FOS presentations are happening in the next six (6) weeks. As you work your campaign, each unit should have a goal of 100% of pledge cards turned in – regardless of whether the parent or adult leader makes a gift.

Once you’ve had your presentation, make sure that you:

  1. Turn in your donations and ledger within two weeks of the presentation. No need to wait if you haven’t received all your pledges – there are more forms available. Turning in your form lets us update your unit’s Thermometer, where everyone can see your progress.
  2. Follow-up with pledge cards you haven’t received. Often a call or a reminder from you or the den leader can ensure that we get 100% of pledge cards turned in.
  3. Review your pledge cards to see if there are any matching gift opportunities. Matching gifts are a great way to make your unit’s goal with no additional cost.

Stumped on how to generate interest in your FOS campaign? Check out how Troop 283 chartered by Wayzata Community Church got their youth involved, made the campaign easier, and raised giving by 37.5%!

For more information, check out the Lake Minnetonka FOS page!  See the unit thermometers to track your progress against goal.
