First Aid Training Opportunity – Don’t miss out on this very reasonably priced training – Oct 24, 2017

Hello everyone,

On Tuesday, October 24, 2017, there will be a CPR/AED/First Aid training opportunity for Venturers in Northern Star Council.

Crew 695, located out of Eden Prairie, will be hosting this training opportunity. A valid First Aid/CPR/AED certificate is required to receive the Discovery Award within the Venturing program, and is helpful in many jobs, both in Scouting and outside of Scouting.

Paul Kautz, a certified trainer, has offered to run the training for under half the price that a training through the American Red Cross would cost. The training will cost $45 per BSA member, in order to receive a Red Cross certification, valid for two years from the date of training.

This training requires no less than 5 participants and up to 12 participants in order to run, and our crew is happy to offer the remaining spots to other Venturers in Northern Star Council who also need this training. Participants will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis, so if you are interested in joining us for this training, please respond as soon as possible! We have 10 spots open for council Venturers, and we need at least 3 more Venturers in order to run the training!

The training will be offered on Tuesday, October 24th, from 6:00pm to 10:30 pm. It will be located in Eden Prairie, most likely at Prairie Lutheran Church (email will follow closer to the date to the registered participants confirming location).

Registration is easy, but we do need firm commitments. If you are interested, please make sure that you can come before sending me an email. We cannot hold spots for those who are interested but cannot commit yet. In order to register, please send me an email at [email protected] with the names and emails of the participating Venturer(s) and crew number, no later than Saturday, October 21. Payment will be at the event itself. The $45 can be paid in cash or check, made out to Active Source, Inc.
