District Added 40 Additional ‘Hero Scouts’ Over Last Year’s School Night For Scouting Campaign

We challenge you to host a recruitment night to ensure that no youth striving for a Scouting adventure is left behind in our community.

This past Thursday, the Cub Scout Packs in our district recruited 212 youth into the Scouting program. These youth are your future!  School Night for Scouting may be a Cub Scout centered recruitment campaign, but that does not mean that as a Troop you cannot participate in the wider fall recruitment effort.

October is excellent time to host your unit’s very own ‘Recruitment 2016_gph_Cub-Leader-Superhero-Resources_600x400Night’. Unit recruitment nights do not necessarily need to be stand-alone events, but rather they can simply be a community-wide promotion of your existing October unit events.  NOW is the time to stock up on materials, reach out to the district for customized supplies, and work to fill-out your Troop’s membership.  Don’t deny older youth the opportunities available in a Scouting adventure – host a Middle School or High School ‘Recruitment Night’ this month!  Further information can be found on the District’s Recruitment Guide and Resources webpage.

We’re here to help if you need assistance with your unit’s October recruitment night and events. Let us know – we’ve been there ourselves!

A huge thanks should go out to our Cub Scout Packs for their efforts to build a foundation for the future of our program. For our Troops, we challenge you to host a recruitment night to ensure that no youth striving for a Scouting adventure is left behind in our community.
