Coaster Campout 2017
Despite a few cold sprinkles the Fall Camporee was a roaring success! Over 380 Scouts, Scouters, their families and friends enjoyed a great weekend, including a Friday night campout for those that were brave enough to tackle the VWCA (Valleyfair Wilderness Camping Area). Everyone enjoyed a full day of thrills and activities including roller coasters, action rides, stage shows, Valleyscare, and the chance to work on the STEM/ NOVA awards. A special thanks goes out to the host troops (Troops 209, 327, 337, 569, 538) and the members of the district’s activities committee, including Jeff Gresenz, Don Mack, Scott Vondracek, David Olson, and Jim Lindfors for putting together a great program that offered many different options for our Scouts and their families.
