1 Billion Service Hours since 2012!

Congratulations! We are delighted to share that Scouts around the world have now delivered an incredible one billion hours of service, and that the hours you and your friends logged on scout.org helped the Movement reach this milestone two years earlier than expected!

Scouts worldwide have been improving the lives of people in their local communities through initiatives big or small: from helping communities devastated by natural disasters, to planting trees in deforested areas, or welcoming migrant children to their local communities and integrating them through Scouting.

Every hour that has been logged on scout.org since 2012, represents a good turn a Scout somewhere in the world did to help others. That is a reason for all of us to be proud: millions of Scouts giving their time to help create a better world. That is the power of collective positive change!

Are you wondering how big One Billion Hours actually is? Then check out this video.

Follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to discover the real stories behind all those hours!

You can also find inspiration for your future service projects at www.scout.org/explore. If you need help to fund your project – or would like to support someone else’s, check out the Scout Donation Platform at donate.scout.org.

As Scouts, we have made a promise to do our best to help others. The ripple effect of our good turns can inspire millions of others to take positive actions today in their communities – so let’s keep on sharing our stories and inspire the world!
